Terms of Service
Last updated: July 10, 2026
1. Agreement
These terms are a contract between you and MySubscriptions. By creating an account you accept them. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
2. The service
MySubscriptions detects recurring charges on financial accounts you connect and, at your request, assists in cancelling subscriptions — either by giving you self-serve instructions or by contacting the merchant on your behalf. You must be 18 or older and reside in the United States.
3. Your bank connections
- Connections are made through Plaid; by linking an account you also agree to Plaid's End User Privacy Policy.
- You authorize us to receive read-only account and transaction data from the accounts you link, for the purposes described in our Privacy Policy.
- You may only link accounts you own or are authorized to use.
4. Authorization to act on your behalf
When you submit a cancellation request, you appoint MySubscriptions as your limited agent, authorized to contact the merchant, identify itself as acting for you, share the account details you provided for that request, and instruct the merchant to cancel the subscription. This authority is limited to the specific request, lasts until the request is completed or failed, and does not permit us to make purchases, move money, or take any other action. Cancellation requests cannot be withdrawn once submitted — if you change your mind, you will need to sign up with the merchant again directly.
5. What we don't promise
- Detection is best-effort. We may miss subscriptions or occasionally flag something that isn't one. Always review before acting.
- Cancellation outcomes aren't guaranteed. Some merchants require the account holder to act personally; a typical request takes 2–10 business days. Until a merchant confirms cancellation, you remain responsible for charges, contractual minimums, and early-termination fees you owe that merchant.
- We are not a financial, legal, or tax advisor. Information in the app is not advice.
6. Fees
The service is free during our beta. We may introduce paid plans (for example, concierge cancellation as a premium feature) with prior notice; continued use of paid features after pricing takes effect constitutes acceptance.
7. Acceptable use
No unlawful use, no accessing others' accounts without authority, no interfering with the service, no reverse engineering, no false cancellation requests.
8. Termination
You can delete your account at any time (Profile → Delete Account), which revokes our bank access and purges your data per the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold MySubscriptions harmless from claims and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your violation of these terms or your misuse of the service.
11. Disputes
If you have a problem, contact us first at legal@mysubscriptions.com — most issues can be resolved informally. These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which you reside, and any dispute that can't be resolved informally will be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction, including small-claims court where eligible.
12. Changes
We may update these terms; material changes will be emailed and take effect no sooner than 14 days after notice, except changes required by law.
